Advanced Intermediate
Advanced-intermediate to advanced skiers, ages 7-12. This team will focus on being a great all around skier, on all terrain and every discipline. These athletes demonstrate parallel skiing, maintain a centered position over skis, have versatile turn shapes based on terrain, and can stop on demand (parallel hockey stop). They can also traverse the slope with medium speed, can rock back and forth during turns, can exaggerate up and down movement to engage hips, knees and ankles and can navigate bumps and obstacle courses while maintaining parallel turns. This athlete is looking to become a better overall skier and wants to learn different skills such as racing and terrain parks. These skiers will work on adapting body position to terrain, and changing flex in the hip, knees, and ankles to make equipment work for them in varied terrain.

Advanced-intermediate to advanced riders, ages 7-12. This team will focus on being a great all around rider, on all terrain. These athletes demonstrate high performance in their riding, maintain a centered position over snowboard, have versatile turn shapes based on terrain, and can stop on demand. They can also traverse the slope with medium speed, can rock back and forth during turns, can exaggerate up and down movement to engage hips, knees and ankles and can navigate bumps and obstacle courses while maintaining board control and dynamics. This athlete is looking to become a better overall rider and wants to learn different skills such as freeride and terrain parks. These skiers will work on adapting body position to terrain, and changing flex in the hip, knees, and ankles to make equipment work for them in varied terrain.
DEVO COMP Jr. Freestyle Team- $359
Tuesdays 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and
Saturdays 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Ages 7-12
Advanced
Advanced skiers, ages 7-12 interested in learning the skills required to move forward to the Core Team in either Freestyle or FreeRide disciplines. This team will elevate the level of intensity to mimic what you’ll need in competition, but the emphasis will remain on safety and fun. This athlete is looking to become a better overall skier and wants to learn different skills, such as terrain parks or free ride. This athlete can navigate the entire mountain, including expert groomed terrain, bumps, trees and has an interest to learn the terrain park jumps and features. This team will work on the skills required to start competing in local events. Competition is not required, but will be encouraged and supported with coaches at events. Event schedule will depend on athletes skill level and interest but may include MoM events, USSA "B" events and IFSA FreeRide Events.
COMPETITION SCHEDULE
All DEVO athletes are invited to participate in our Master of the Mountain events. These are fun, non sanctioned competitions that consist of 2 to 3 events: Paneled Slalom or GS; Moguls; and Slopestyle. WMC provides coaches and volunteers to assist athletes with each event in small groups. We encourage all DEVO and DEVO COMP athletes to participate.
