Beginner/Novice
Developmental ski program for kids 5-10 years old. NOTE: These athletes should be able to ride the lift* and safely navigate beginner/green circle trails without assistance. This team is for the young skier who is interested in discovering the many great things there are to do on the mountain and has graduated to the chairlift with supervision. It will focus on developing skills that will move them from the groomers to the terrain park and everything in between. These skiers still rely mostly on the wedge turn (snowplow), but are starting to make some parallel turns, and can confidently stop.

Beginner/Novice
Developmental snowboard program for kids 5-10 years old. NOTE: These athletes should be able to ride the lift* and safely navigate beginner/green circle trails without assistance. This team is for the young rider who has graduated to the chairlift with supervision and is looking to discover how many great things there are to do on the mountain, from the groomers to the terrain park and everything in between. These riders are mostly in a heel/toe side slide (falling leaf), but are starting to link toe and heel turns.
COMPETITION SCHEDULE
MiniCore Athletes are invited to participate in our Master of the Mountain events. These are fun, non sanctioned competitions that consist of 2 to 3 events: Paneled Slalom or GS; Moguls; and Slopestyle. WMC provides coaches and volunteers to assist athletes with each event in small groups. We encourage all MiniCore athletes to participate.
